Thanksgiving on Nantucket is a wonderful holiday. Fall on Nantucket is a wonderful time of year. The downtown shopping and restaurants of Nantucket express their spirit for the holidays along with the local Town government by decorating the entire downtown. There are wreaths and garland, lights and Christmas trees lining all the streets of downtown. Local restaurants are open serving some of the most spectacular gastronomic delights found anywhere, Ray Owen (local farmer) raises organic Turkeys that find there way to many dinner tables, local Nantucket bay scallops are harvested from the sea and served a number of ways, and Bartlett Farm fall harvest is at its peak.
